In den letzten Jahren hat sich in unserem Labor, insbesondere im Bereich der Möglichkeiten der Stuhldiagnostik, Revolutionäres getan: weg von der in der Dauerkritik stehenden Floraanalytik (zu ungenau, nicht reproduzierbar, zu teuer) hin zu der Bestimmung von Antigenen, Antikörpern, Mediatorstoffen und Tumormarkern. Diese neue „Markerdiagnostik“ ist validiert, qualitätsgesichert und die Ergebnisse lassen zum ersten Mal differenzierte Beurteilungen der pathophysiologischen Vorgänge im Magen-Darm-Trakt zu.
Erweitert und vervollständigt wird unser Laborangebot durch Untersuchungen bei Verdacht auf Histamin- und Laktoseintoleranzen, intestinaler Mastozytose, Nahrungsmittelallergien, Hormonbestimmung aus dem Speichel und durch das spezielle Leistungsspektrum für Zahnärzte im Rahmen der Parodontitisdiagnostik. Darüber hinaus besteht die Möglichkeit, aus dem eingesandten Material AMG-konforme Autonosoden (durch die Firma mentop® Pharma) herstellen zu lassen.

About us
Our Laboratory has been operating for over 20 years. It was founded in 1986 by microbiologist Dr. Reinhard Hauss, PhD and Dr. Helga Hauss, MD, Consultant Dermatologist.
We have specialised in microbiological diagnostics ever since. As well as doing classic bacteriological analysis of clinical samples, early on we diversified in to the field of medical mycology. Much of our work has been the classic analysis of intestinal mycoses where we have a wealth of experience. We also analyse skin, hair and nail fungi: dermatological mycology. We are also experts in the analysis of mould infestations in houses and apartments: building biology.
For many years, we have also specialised in the requirements of complementary therapists and on giving well-founded therapy recommendations. Dr. Erichsen, MD, consultant in laboratory medicine, will manage the laboratory in company with Dr. Helga Hauss from the beginning of 2010.

- Intolerance diagnostics: Diaminooxidase for histamine intolerance (from blood) DNA-test for lactose intolerance

Quality guarantee
The Dr. Hauss laboratory, like all accredited laboratories in Germany, performs regular and strict internal quality controls. All devices and substances used in the microbiological analytic processes are checked and validated with ATCC-strains (defined and standardised microbes of the American Type Culture Collection). The laboratory also takes part in mycological interlaboratory comparisons. Since the introduction of these controls in 2000 the laboratory has achieved a 100% pass rate each year. The laboratory is also regularly inspected by the Public Health Department, Company Physicians and by the professional association.
The Dr. Hauss Laboratory works together with the pharmaceutical company Mentop in Schleswig, which produces homeopathic remedies from patients’ own microbes (conforming with AMG standards). Mentop is the only organisation in Germany, which is authorised to undertake such work.
